Charleston County’s Community Development is joining us to discuss how to make housing affordable!

$1 million + available to rehab homes of senior citizens Opportunities to buy, rehab and invest in affordable housing units

Critical Home Repairs

Applicants should have prior experience successfully managing a home repair program that serves the needs of low-to-moderate income households in the Tri-County area. The Critical Home Repair Program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), provides repairs to make homes safe and livable for elderly homeowners. The program is not for projects requiring substantial rehabilitation.

$1 million + available Charleston Homes

The program allows interested parties to submit site-specific applications to rehabilitate the County’s existing homes into safe, livable, attainable housing units. Properties will be deeded over to selected partners upon renovation completion to the affordable housing inventory in Charleston County as rentals, home sales, or another related initiative.
